Background

“My year of apprenticing with Javier Del Cid Productions as second photographer at Quinceañeras ended when the pandemic began. At home during lockdown with my Nikon D5600, I began noticing the tiny, complete habitat within my apartment building courtyard and the interdependence of all creatures. One squirrel became especially fond of accepting peanuts from me (from balcony to tree!) while the hummingbird who guarded the territory whizzed by! After four years of learning to track and photograph that which cannot be held or captured, I began imagining and collaging hummingbird, squirrel and other “aminal” perspectives of our world.”
